What password strength means

This cartoon is pretty mathy, but the gist is this: if you can think to replace some letters in your password with symbols and numbers, so can a hacker.  Plus, such passwords are hard to remember.  Fortunately, most of us don't have to worry about this because our data isn't important enough for someone to spend 3 days trying to hack it.  That's why password reuse is a much more relevant danger to us.
